When I Met Emma Watson

Yesterday (June 1st, 2011) at 5:00 my friend Nora texted me and said, “I know where they’re filming, I know where Emma Watson is today!”  We called our mutual friend with a driver’s license and begged her to take us - to no avail.  I then proceeded to call my other friend with a license and gave her two options:

1. Take me to see Emma

2. Be fed to Aragog’s children

Naturally, she chose the first.  So drove to the street they were filming on, parked on a side street, and walked all the way until the caution tape.  There were about 25 other people already waiting, but I managed to get almost to front.  After about 20 minutes of waiting, my friend turns her head and then says to me,

“That’s her.  She’s there, that’s Emma!”

I whipped my head around and saw her - EMMA WATSON! - coming towards the crowd and waving.  She was wearing a nurses outfit with white t-strap kitten heels and her hair was a bit below her ears.  She was so patient and sweet and nice and she signed everyone’s items. I got my first ever HP book signed and the magazine.  When she signed the magazine I said, “You look gorgeous.”  She looked up, looked at me straight in the eyes and said “Oh, thank you!”

SHE ACKNOWLEDGED ME AS A HUMAN BEING

I was shaking so hard I couldn’t put the cap back on my sharpie.
